Graduation Day

This year our school did a Kindergarten and 6th grade graduation. This is a new one. I have never had a Kindergarten graduation before.

Anja's Graduation was in the morning, and she really didn't want to go. We had to convince her by promising the following: we would drive her to school, we stayed by her in the play ground until school started, she didn't have to sing or talk or anything during the ceremony. Half way through she was getting more comfortable and starting to participate. At the end she was her regular happy self as you can see in the picture.

Williams graduation was that evening and was a little more elaborate. They were all "Best Dressed" that night, William wore his suit. He loves that suit. The kids had special awards, sang two songs and then recieved their certificates. I was really impressed with their singing. They did a great job. Even brought a few tears to my eyes, which were quickly dried up thanks to Anja's nagging.

During the school year the 6th grade started a club called the "Who's Nuts" club. Only 2 were chosen during each month out of each class, they were those who showed a great effort of some sort that month. When they recieved this honor they also got a t-shirt they would wear each Friday. William was so excited when he was chosen a couple of months ago. Those in the club were asked to help conduct during the Graduation Ceremony. Here is Will during his time at the podium. He was very nervous, but he did it and did a great job.
